Use different things at a time

One  nice trick…

Every1  is aware of smart unlock but  used it diferent way Ok Suppose u Select Character for mesages ‘I’. Now if u r listening music or watching video (from my files n not from music player). If u want to check new message or anything else. u need to close down all things n then u can read it but i have 1 trick. if ne msg come just lock ur phone (by lock key) now press it again n draw Character ‘I’ (whatever u had given for messages). so u ll directly reached to the messages n u can do everything there but ur music ll get paused automatically. When u complete ur work in messages, press end call key, now again u can start ur music…

By doing this u ll not need to wait for song to complete or for message u dont have to close everthing… u can listen/watch music/video from where u had left…

U can do many such things by using smart unlock…. not only msg n music, this was just eg. ….

NOTE:- If u want to use the above trick for video then first u need to pause the video n then u can use it otherwise it ll not work

Search based on last name

Yes it allows u to search based on last name after u Update the firmware .

Just open ur phonebook then tap on  MORE —> Settings —> Order of display name —> Last name First name  save it.

Done !!!!!

Increase your Samsung Star’s battery life

The trick behind this ?

Trick 1: First of all: Make sure your phone goes dead (and I mean dead dead, when you try to turn it on it won’t start dead). You need to do this 3 times: you use it, when it says battery low you start pushing buttons, turning on again, pushing buttons, turning on again until it refuses to turn on. Then you charge it over night, and do this 2 more times, so 3 times in total.

The 4th time you will recharge it before your battery goes empty… as near as “battery low” as possible, if possible 2 seconds before it says that and that will be your charging routine from now all: trying to guess when it’s the best time to do it.

Trick 2: go to: Menu > Settings > Display and light > Brightness and select level 3.
Trick 3: go to: Menu > Settings > Display and light > Backlight time and select 15 seconds.
Trick 4: Disable or use the lowest level of vibration (call, messages and feedback) and disable or lowest level or phone sounds (not the call ones, the touching the screen ones).
Trick 5: go to: Menu > Settings > Network settings > Select network and select it Manual
Trick 6: go to: Menu > Settings > Network settings > Network mode and select GSN 900/1800 (if you lose your signal after doing this go back and select GSM 850/1900 because it means your operator uses that frequency instead)
Trick 7: use auto keypad (or touchscreen) lock !

That’s all… so… the downsides are…. none. (ok it make take a while until you stop being pissed off by the screen turning off so fast.. 15 seconds, and it may take a while until you get used to no vibration feedback and low volume sounds…. but apart from that… there’s just one thing: each time you go into a zone with no signal, when you come back your phone will ask you to select your network, you press once and it will find all the available networks, your home network will have a “Home” icon in front of it’s name, select it, press ok and done, it takes 10 seconds)

Fake call

You can get a fake call from an unknown user by pressing  Volume Down key…it can get u rid off from boring situations…u can set the timer for the fake call..i mean after hw much duration u want fake call to come .U can also save a fake voice which u will hear upon getting fake call…

Setings–>Application settings–>Call–>Fake call..

Make ur phone silent upon getting call.

Hello i dont know whether u ppl know how to make phone silent when call comes or not but i feel to share with u. Hope this ll help u ppl.When any calls comes, press n hold volume key (any of them) for 2-4 sec it ll make ur phone silent (no ringtone no vibration)… It ll only make for that particular call only.
In other call u have to do same……

U can try it by making fake call urself…

Different Message tone

U all people know that v can set different ringtone for different contact. But in this cell, u can also set different msg tone for different contact…U can do so by going in…

Phonebook -> Contact (in which u want to set different msg tone, N tht contact must be saved in Phone..Not in SIM) -> edit -> Add more fields -> Message tone (for this, scrool down) -> done!

now choose Message tone ..U can select any one out of 4 or u can select ur own by selecting SPECIAL TONE option…

ZooM UR PiC

The feature is about to zoom pic easily….

Open any pic, now tap n hold for 3 sec. 2 arrow ll appear now dont pull ( U can also pull ur finger after arrows appears, upon tapping again a zoom scale bar will appear..u can tap on + or – to zoom in and zoom out respectively) ur finger move it up for zoom in n down for zoom out…..

Update Samsung Star’s Firmware

Problem installing third party softwares like applications,games in new SAMSUNG STAR ( S5233/5230)..????????  Then update your firmware and enjoy installing softwares on a click…And also u will get many more new things in ur menu.

Easy steps to follow

1. DOWNLOAD THE LATEST FIRMWARE (AROUND 80 MB IN SIZE) and MULTILOADER

2. Make sure Samsung PC Studio is installed and communicates with your phone

3. Unrar the firmware in a folder you can easily find it.Also unrar the Multiloader in another folder.

4. BACKUP YOUR PHONEBOOK AND MESSG USING PC STUDIO.
Remove the Sim and MicroSD from your phone and replace the battery.

5. Now press vol top button+camera key+powerbutton at the same time in switch off mode without attaching the datacable.

6. Soon u will see a new screen which says Download.

7. Now attach the datacable to the phone and open Multiloader which u donwloaded earlier.

8. Select the radio button that includes MSM6250/MSM6250A or BRCM2133

9. Select Boot Change,Full Download and master rom boxes.

10. Then click Boot, and select the boot files from the unpacked firmware folder.(……..\S5230XEIG4\S5230XEIG4\BOOTFILES)

11. Click the Amss, Rsrc1, and Rsrc2. and select files apps_compressed.bin and Rsrc_S5230_Open_Europe_Slav.rc1 and Rsrc2_S5230(Low)_RU.rc2 respectively.

12. Note: Select (Low).r2c NOT (Mid).r2c. (Phone may not restart if you select mid)

13. Then press the Factory FS tab, and select the appropriate files from the firmware folder also(FactoryFs_S5230_Open_Europe_Slav_RU.ffs).

14. FOTA and ETC fields are left blank.

15. Click the Port Search button, it will find your phone and show the com Port is ready

( Make sure that following options are checked “right” symbol in the check box against them before you click downlaod

16. Click the download button and be patient, this will take a few minutes to complete.

17. When it’s finished, it will show “All files complete”.

18. Unplug the phone from the USB cable, reinstall the sim, MicroSD, and power up the the phone.

19. Now with every thing complete, You can perform a hard reset by typing *2767*3855# into the hand set (but not necessary.)

20. When the phone resets type *#1234# into your handset to check your new firmware ver.

your new Firmware is updated and ready to use.
